8′ x 10′

Let us begin at the smallest but still mighty one the super handy 8′ x 10′ – you can see here that this 8′ x 10′ will be good for 2 cots at the most if you want to continue to us the Stove. Honestly I have gone camping in this size in summer and we were able to get 2 Double Air mattresses in there with a smidgen of room at our feet – so again its small but it’s also super handy.

10′ x 12′

The next up is the 10′ x 12′ – again this is good for 2 people really. You can fit the 2 cots in there comfortably and use the stove without impeding on that 3′ buffer. The 10′ x 12′ is super lightweight by size and easy to set up with 2 people, if you had to you could set it up solo – I have done so. The tent is only 45 pounds and the frame is also 45 pounds making it your go to for those short trips to the backcountry.

12′ x 14′

The 12′ x 14′ tent is the take the kids hunting size in my opinion. It is still lightweight enough (it weighs in at 55 pounds) that those teens can help you get it set up and offers enough space for 4 cots when using the stove, even more if you are going without the stove. If you really wanted you even can create room for a small table. The 12′ x 14′ would fit those 2 double air mattresses too without issue and leaving you a bit of room to walk around.

14′ x 16′

Now with the 14′ x 16′ we start to get into the meat and potatoes of wall tents! Once you get to this size you can fit Peter, Paul and Mary in there with you no issue! This one will house five cots and the stove without issue. If you choose to not go with the stove you can fit as many as 8 cots in there. The 14′ x 16′ is a bit heavier at 65 pounds but still not a deal breaker in weight.

16′ x 20′

This is one of the largest sized tents we carry – and to say it is large and in charge is a understatement. With this tent you will want the extra help to get it set up and down. The 16′ x 20′ weighs 70 pounds and while heavy is still manageable with 2 grown adults to get set up. You will have no issue getting a total of 8 cots when using the wood stove – you could squeeze in two more but it is best with the 8 when using the stove.
